A little more clarity.
Before you get started.
Straight answers to the questions that come up first.
What does TrapMetrics offer?
Calibrated ratings and win chances for every UK and Irish greyhound race, the form behind them, measured trap bias for every track, and a System Builder that tests rules on five years of the official record.
Is this a tipping service?
No. TrapMetrics measures races and publishes how accurate the measurements have been. It does not tell you what to bet, and the closing market beats every rating, ours included.
Are the demo races real?
Yes. The demo shows two real races from Monmore on 15 Aug 2026, with ratings, chances and prices as published at 08:45 that morning. We chose the first because our top pick won; in the second, it finished last.
What does the rating mean?
The TrapMetrics Rating (TMR) puts a runner’s win chance on a handicap scale: 100 is an average chance in that field, and every 15 points doubles it.
Can I try it without signing up?
Yes. The demo racecard, Learn, the track pages and the evidence are open to everyone, and while accounts are built the app itself is open as a free preview.
What does it cost?
Research access is £29.99 a month. Anyone who registers before accounts open pays £19.99, for as long as they stay subscribed. The Data API is a separate plan from £49 a month.
What happens when I register interest?
We keep your address and the interest you chose, and email you once when accounts open, with your £19.99 founding price. No payment is taken until you choose to subscribe.
Where can I see the evidence?
On the evidence page: the top-pick comparison with Timeform and the Betfair favourite, the straight-forecast study and the rating thresholds, each with its race count and date. It is refreshed monthly.
