Responsible gambling

Please read this properly. Gambling loses money for most people who do it.

Last updated 11 September 2026.

Why this page exists

This site exists because measuring things honestly is interesting. It is not here to encourage anyone to gamble, and it would be dishonest of us to publish accuracy figures without saying the following plainly.

Gambling loses money for most people who do it

That is the mathematical design of the industry, not bad luck. Better information can narrow the gap; it does not reverse it. We have tested our own numbers against real market prices many different ways and have not been able to show a reliable profit, and we publish that result rather than hiding it.

Signs worth taking seriously

Betting with money meant for something else. Chasing losses, or staking more to win them back. Hiding how much you bet from people close to you. Gambling to change how you feel rather than for entertainment. Thinking about it when you would rather not be.
